How we work

We would rather measure a system than describe it.

The first thing we do on any call is look at the filter and the airflow path. It is unglamorous, but a dirty filter or a crushed duct run will produce symptoms that look exactly like a refrigerant or compressor problem.

After that we put gauges on the system and check the charge, then measure static pressure and read the amperage at the outdoor unit. Those four readings separate an airflow fault from a refrigerant fault from an electrical fault, and they take less time than guessing.

We keep parts on the truck for the equipment we actually see out here. Older split systems and light commercial units are worth repairing, and having the motor or capacitor in hand is the difference between one visit and two.

When a system is not worth repairing, we will say so and explain why. A failed compressor on a thirty-year-old air handler is a different conversation than a failed capacitor on a well-maintained one.

Maintenance checklist

  • Condenser coil cleaned and fins combed
  • Evaporator coil inspected and drain cleared
  • Filter replaced and rack cleaned
  • Blower motor and capacitor tested
  • Refrigerant charge verified with gauges
  • Condensate drain flushed end to end
  • Electrical terminals and contactor inspected
  • Heat exchanger and ignition checked on furnaces

Schedule a service visit.

System type, the symptom, and the location of the outdoor unit is enough to book the right technician with the right parts.
